Research and Development Professional
The objective of this role is to support the technical, sales, and research teams by conducting field and glasshouse crop trials from site selection through to data collection and harvest.
* Assist with the conduction of efficacy crop trials in field and glasshouse environments.
* Collect accurate trial data and samples, including plant growth measurements, pest and disease monitoring, soil and tissue sampling.
This involves coordinating trial activities with growers, agronomists, and industry partners, as well as liaising with stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Crop Trial Management
Support the conductance of efficacy crop trials in field and glasshouse settings, encompassing site selection, planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Accurately record and manage trial data with attention to detail and integrity, ensuring high-quality information for informed decision-making.
Laboratory and Product Evaluation
Conduct compatibility testing of products and agricultural chemicals by adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Additional Tasks
Maintain effective communication with growers, agronomists, and industry partners throughout the trial process. Ensure timely completion of tasks and adhere to project timelines. Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and productivity within the research and development team.
