Reporting into the Workshop Team Leader, the Workshop Service Technician will be based at our Notting Hill head office. You will play a key role in taking care of technical assistance for internal stakeholders and our customers’ products service work and presales requirements.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance, repair, and testing of customer products;
- Ensure timely completion of service work and associated records and reports;
- Provide technical assistance to Field Service Technicians and Territory Managers;
- Assess incoming jobs and provide feedback to customers if there are any anticipated delays;
- Conduct presales service work when requested and assist with maintaining database of customer presales requirements;
- Prepare detailed quotations for customers, assist with queries, and always positively promote Draeger;
- Prepare and submit service jobs to ensure that all jobs are invoiced on time;
- Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
- Always ensure a safety-first approach.
The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes:
- 2+ years’ exposure in a similar role;
- Formal qualification a maintenance trade discipline or demonstrated relevant experience;
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, heavy-duty equipment, and specialized electrical and electronics measurement and communication devices;
- Experience with technical documentation and diagrams, comprehending technical problems presented by customers, and providing effective solutions;
- Well versed in effectively articulating company and product information to customers;
- Working knowledge of routine arithmetic calculations and pricing structures to complete quotations;
- Moderate-to-high level of proficiency with various computer software, including Microsoft Office suite of applications;
- Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
- Exemplary understanding of compliance rules and ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards, and;
- Excellent customer focus, stakeholder liaison, problem solving, interpersonal, communication, organisational, and task management skills, and;
- Current Drivers License.
