About The Job
Due to internal movement, Opella are seeking a National Account Manager (NAM) – Woolworths who will be responsible for driving profitable growth and market share within the Grocery channel across Australia. This role will manage the Woolworths Key Account to develop strategic partnerships, and execute joint business plans to deliver category leadership and achieve sales, margin and distribution objectives.
Main Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Development
* Own and manage relationships with Major Grocery Customer – Woolworths
* Develop and execute annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned with company objectives
* Negotiated trading terms, promotional programmes and pricing strategies to maximise profitability
Sales & Financial Performance
* Deliver agreed sales targets, revenue growth and margin objectives
* Monitor account performance, analyse data and implement corrective actions where necessary
* Manage trade spend effectively to ensure ROI and compliance with budgets
Category & Shopper Insights
* Leverage category insights and shopper data to influence range, space and promotional decisions
* Collaborate with marketing and category teams to deliver tailored activation plans
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with supply chain, finance and field sales teams to ensure flawless execution
* Support field teams with account‑specific strategies and promotional calendars
Compliance & Governance
* Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements and ethical standards
* Maintain accurate records of agreements, forecasts and performance metrics
About You
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 4+ years in FMCG account management, preferably within grocery or independent retail
* Proven negotiation and relationship‑building skills
* Able to demonstrate a track record of delivering sales growth and managing complex accounts
* Commercial acumen with experience in P&L management
* Excellent analytical and presentation skills
* Ability to travel nationally as required
