Girton Grammar School is seeking a dedicated Junior School Teacher to join us in shaping the educational journey of young learners within a vibrant and nurturing environment. This is an ongoing, full-time teaching position starting in January 2026. 
Reporting directly to the Head of Junior School, your primary responsibility is to design and deliver engaging lessons that foster a love of learning and encourage every student to strive for their personal best. You will develop dynamic curriculum materials that are challenging, comprehensive, and inclusive, catering to the diverse needs and abilities of students. 
Responsibilities

- Develop curriculum materials that are challenging, comprehensive, and inclusive. 
- Contribute to curriculum planning sessions, professional development opportunities, and co-curricular activities. 
- Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues to create a positive and empowering learning environment. 
- Engage in ongoing assessment and feedback to monitor student progress and adapt strategies to maximise learning outcomes. 
- Uphold the school values and contribute to the Senior School and Junior School community life. 
Qualifications and Skills 
Education and teaching: 
- A bachelor’s degree in education and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). 
- Demonstrated curriculum knowledge and ability to deliver creative and effective teaching. 
- Strong ICT skills relevant to teaching and learning. 
- Commitment to co-curricular activities. 
Analytical Skills: 
- Ability to use educational data to enhance teaching and learning programs. 
- Willingness to implement improvements based on best practices. 
Communication Skills: 
- Excellent written and verbal communication to liaise with teachers, administrators, and parents. 
- Ability to convey information clearly to staff; team-oriented mindset for collaboration. 
Organisational Skills: 
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and programmes. 
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and scheduling needs. 
- Effective time management and ability to prioritise competing demands.

Selection Criteria / Essential Qualifications 
Education and teaching:
