Role: Support Developer - 12m contract (with extension likely)
Location: Sydney (hybrid)
You'll be working for a global player in clearing and clearing related services who strives to optimise profitability, return on invested capital and shareholders value. Our client has offices around the world, operating in Sydney since 1998 with other main offices are located in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Amsterdam, London, Chicago and South America. Responsibilities
* Reporting to the product owner of RAMS APAC and working on LCM tasks which will require migrating applications to more recent versions of servers and databases. This will include applications running on Linux, Windows, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and DB2 built using Java, Angular, Perl, Python.
Required knowledge and experience
* Required level and content of education
* IT related University degree or equivalent
* Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Bootstrap CSS, Maven development.
* Experience with GIT and CVS.
* Experience with Linux operating system.
* Experience with Java and Python/Perl.
* Experience with SQL DB (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, DB2)
* Knowledge of IT systems including but not limited to Linux/Unix systems, Windows systems, storage systems and basic networking components
* Knowledge of methods and tools for application lifecycle, software engineering, test management and IT
* Required employment experience
* At least 2 years' experience working as a Java Developer (Python/Perl experience a plus)
* Experience in finance industry such as stock broking or wholesale finance is preferred
