Wayne Phillis Automotive – Lonsdale (Kia, Isuzu & Geely)
Full-time | Salaried + Monthly Bonus | 8:00am – 4:45pm
Step Off the Tools...
Without Leaving What You Love Behind
If you're a Master Tech or Senior Technician who knows it's time to move toward leadership — but you're not ready to abandon the tools entirely — this is the role that bridges the gap.
At Wayne Phillis Automotive, we've been proudly family-owned and operating in Adelaide's southern suburbs for 40 years.
We've built a strong reputation, a loyal customer base, and a workplace where people build long-term careers — not just jobs.
With our brand-new, purpose-built workshop facilities in Lonsdale and a team that's growing fast, we're ready to bring in a Workshop Foreman who can lead, mentor and elevate our technicians and apprentices.
Why This Role Is Different
? Lead a 14-person team (including apprentices)
You'll guide, teach, support, problem-solve — but you won't be responsible for workflow allocation.
That stays with the Workshop Controller.
? Mentorship at the centre of the role
If you enjoy helping others grow, explaining the "why", and lifting the standard across the workshop — you'll thrive here.
? Stay partially hands-on
You'll still jump in for complex diagnostics, tricky jobs and complete quality checks.
This is leadership that still lets you be a tech.
We're still owned and operated by Wayne and the Phillis family after four decades.
Many of our staff have been with us for 10+ years — people stay because they're valued.
Work across Kia, Isuzu and Geely — every day is different.
? Work hours that support work-life balance
