As a Regional Sales Manager for Gas Services in Australia, you will drive market development for gas turbine power generation projects. You will engage closely with customers, EPCs, consultants, and internal stakeholders, balancing strategic opportunity development, early customer engagement, and supporting the full sales lifecycle from concept to contract closure. You will also actively monitor market dynamics, competitors, and regulatory frameworks to shape winning sales strategies in the Australian market.
Responsibilities
* Develop the power generation and O&G markets with gas turbine solutions.
* Identify and develop projects and new opportunities to ensure a healthy pipeline to grow GS order intake in Australia and neighbouring regions.
* Collaborate closely with GS technical sales teams and other business areas regionally and globally.
* Act as an adviser to external stakeholders to best position GS gas turbine portfolio in the early phase.
* Drive early engagement and develop a clear win strategy.
* Support the full sales process throughout bidding, clarification, negotiation phases until contract closure.
* Support budgetary quotations by articulating GS value proposition vs. competition.
* Ensure timely and accurate records in Salesforce.
* Analyze and identify governmental requirements in Australia and establish relations with key government and customer partners.
* Understand Australian market dynamics, industrial trends, and regulations to deliver successful strategy.
Qualifications
* At least 7 years' experience in energy sectors, especially power generation, with a proven track record in developing successful complex businesses.
* Strong network with developers, end clients, EPCs, consultants, and related stakeholders necessary for success.
* Strong commercial and technical acumen, with experience in scouting and developing deals.
* Sound understanding of gas turbines and peaking applications.
* Winning personality, good listener, and a good communicator.
* Ability to work with different cultures and be a team player.
