Role Description
The HSET (Health, Safety, Environment, Training) Advisor is a full‐time on‐site role based in Perth, WA. The advisor will oversee OHSE (Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental) compliance across site operations. Day‐to‐day responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, ensuring adherence to HSE regulations, coordinating training programs, managing incident reporting and investigations, and contributing to the development and implementation of safety programs and policies. This role plays a critical part in promoting a culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, compliance standards, and relevant legislation
* Experience in incident investigation, risk assessments, and safety audits
* Ability to deliver and coordinate safety and compliance training programs
* Proficiency in written and verbal communication, reporting, and documentation
* Strong organizational and problem‐solving skills
* Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
* Experience in the mining, resources, or construction industries
* Familiarity with environmental and sustainability practices is an advantage
* Certifications such as ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) investigation training or similar are beneficial
Requirements:
* 2+ years' experience in HSE role
* 5 + years' experience in Mining or Construction industry
* Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with LLN experience (TAE40122).
* High level knowledge and experience in Health, Safety and/or Environment, Training, including VOC's.
* Ideally from a mining/maintenance or construction background with proven experience in a similar role with current Licences and ticket to allow for effective training and VOC delivery.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build successful and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Valid "C Class" Manual Driver's Licence
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
