Job Overview
We are seeking a Café & Functions Chef to join our hospitality team. This hands‐on role will deliver high‐quality food across both café service and village functions.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver café meals and function catering to a high standard.
* Support daily kitchen operations, service flow and food preparation.
* Assist with menu development and specials.
* Manage ordering of ingredients, stock and supplies.
* Support supervision and training of kitchen staff.
* Assist with coordination and delivery of functions and events.
* Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards.
* Contribute to efficient, well‐organised kitchen operations.
Qualifications
* Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* 4+ years' experience in café, restaurant or function environments.
* Experience preparing food in a high‐volume or multi‐service kitchen.
* Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen operations.
* Ability to work collaboratively and support team performance.
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and RSA.
* Experience in aged care, community or events catering is highly regarded.
