Experienced Mechanical Engineer Required
We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join our engineering team. As a senior mechanical/piping engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering support on a diverse range of projects, including studies and sustaining capital works across Western Australia's major iron ore operations.
This is a versatile role that requires a strong background across both mechanical and piping disciplines. You will be capable of contributing not only to detailed design but also to studies, proposals, and the development of technical scopes.
About the Role
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Providing engineering input into sustaining capital and study projects
* Delivering designs and technical documentation across mechanical and piping systems
* Engaging in concept studies and feasibility assessments
* Supporting proposals and adding value through continuous technical input
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree qualification in mechanical engineering (or related field)
* 10+ years' experience in mechanical/piping engineering
* A strong background across stackers, crushers, conveyors, chutes, wet & dry plants, and hydraulics
* Previous experience in sustaining capital and brownfield projects
* The ability to work across both design and study environments
This is a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension. The role is Perth-based with competitive hourly rates. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple brownfield and study-phase projects.
