The East Kimberley

The Opportunity
We are looking for Town Maintenance Officers to join our Operations Team to provide maintenance for reserves, roads and drainage, reticulation systems, and other works in the Wyndham town site and surrounds. Responsibilities include:
* Undertaking duties related to maintenance and construction projects that enhance or modify parks, sporting facilities, public open spaces, reserves, cemeteries, streets, and Shire amenities;
* Participating in roadside preparation and maintenance including tree planting, litter removal, trimming, whipper snipping, tree and branch removal, and storm cleanup;
* Gardening duties including mowing, fertilising, planting, pruning, edging, reticulation maintenance, and weed control;
* Operating fleet including trucks, trailers, and plant equipment to carry out maintenance requirements;
* Operating plant and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting faults immediately for safety and efficiency;
* Maintaining plant and equipment log books and completing end-of-day checks to ensure readiness for the next day;
* Ensuring tools, machinery, and workshop are maintained to a high standard;
* Attending team meetings, toolbox talks, inductions, and training sessions;
* Following organisational procedures and processes at all times;
* Contributing to team planning and maintaining high work productivity and quality outputs;
* Using initiative to solve routine problems and improve efficiency and performance.
A Certificate III in Civil Construction or Horticulture, current Blue/White Construction Safety Card, and unrestricted WA 'HR' Class Driver's Licence are essential. Demonstrated experience in safe equipment operation, outdoor work in East Kimberley conditions, good customer service, time management, and communication skills are also required.

Salary and Benefits
In addition to the competitive annual salary range (inclusive of allowances and superannuation), benefits include:

The full remuneration package ranges between $78,000 to $88,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
