The newly renovated Citadines Elizabeth Street Pier Hobart now seeks an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated person to join the Front Office team as Guest Service Officer - Night. This role will report to the Guest Service Manager and work closely with other departments. Citadines Elizabeth Street Pier Hobart is set to open its doors in mid July 2026.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Delivering warm, professional guest service during overnight check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a seamless experience for late-arriving and departing guests.
* Managing guest requests, enquiries, and accounts overnight, including handling payments, adjustments, and reservation changes accurately.
* Conducting nightly front office administration, including financial balancing, reports, audits, and secure cash handling in compliance with procedures.
* Maintaining the safety, security, and presentation of the property through regular patrols, lobby monitoring, and reporting maintenance or security concerns.
* Providing clear handovers to the morning team, communicating guest needs, VIP information, incidents, and operational updates to ensure continuity of service.
To be successful in this role you must have
* Proven experience in a customer-focused role, ideally within hospitality or front office operations.
* Strong local area knowledge, enabling you to confidently assist guests with directions, services, and local attractions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm, professional, and approachable during overnight hours.
* High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
* Immaculate personal presentation and a commitment to upholding company grooming, service, and brand standards at all times.
