About the role
Working as part of the Culture & Leadership Centre of Excellence within People and Culture, this role is responsible for leading, developing and delivering a range of leadership frameworks and organisational development projects, which improve organisational culture and leadership practices consistent with Auto & General's overall strategic direction, values and desired culture.
The Leadership & Organisational Development Lead leverages data and analytics, deep technical expertise and contemporary thought leadership to develop operational programs and solutions across the disciplines of leadership framework development, culture development, engagement, performance, and risk culture uplift. In partnership with wider specialist teams in P&C, the Leadership & Organisational Development Lead will contribute to the development of strategies and solutions that build organisational capabilities and behaviours across the breadth of the employee lifecycle.
To succeed in this role, you'll have a passion for improving organisational culture through leadership and employee experience. You'll have proven organisational development and communications experience, coupled with knowledge of employee/customer design principles, delivering high quality, tailored solutions that engage and connect with stakeholders at all levels.
* This is a Fixed-term 12-month position (Maternity leave cover).
Position Accountabilities
* Collaborate with the Head of Culture & Leadership and P&C Business Partners to facilitate the development of scalable solutions that support the development of required capabilities and behaviours that enable workforce performance.
* Providing expert organisational development advice and guidance to senior leaders and P&C Business Partners.
* Refinement, embedment and maturing of the A&G leadership capability framework, connecting through to leadership programs and practices.
* Contribute to People and Culture projects and interventions designed to deliver on A&G's strategic goals, including supporting risk maturity from a leader, culture and organisational development perspective.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders and be a trusted advisor to bring to life the A&G culture in parallel with the business vision and strategy. Partner with teams across the business, providing consultative support to achieve maximum value and impact.
* Analyse and interpret complex workforce and performance data to identify trends, root cases, and insights, translating findings into evidence-based recommendations and meaningful reporting to support decision-making.
* Lead the planning, design, delivery and scaling of enterprise-wide culture and organisational development programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, governance and timelines.
What Experience You'll Bring
Qualifications and Experience
* A relevant degree in a related field (such as Human Resources, Business or Psychology), and/or equivalent years of professional experience.
* Experience in high growth and/or fast past business (financial services or professional services favourable).
* Advanced knowledge of contemporary leadership and organisational development practice.
* Ability to think strategically, analyse complex situations and data and develop creative, evidence-based solutions.
* Proven ability to work autonomously and lead end-to-end initiatives, including project management and change management components.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation and persuasion skills to influence decision makers and gain their support in the implementation of organisational development initiatives.
* Excellent communication skills including written and verbal communication and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
* Demonstrated experience working in a program or business transformational change environment.
