Whitecliffe Imports is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team in Alexandria, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and oversee core financial operations.
The Role
In this role, you will provide critical support to the Senior Accountant and play a key part in the financial health of the company. You will be responsible for everything from daily compliance and bookkeeping oversight to strategic financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Reporting: Prepare year-end Financial Statements, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
* Tax & Compliance: Create quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS), prepare year-end tax returns, and ensure all record-keeping meets ATO requirements.
* Budgeting & Analysis: Assist in formulating annual budgets and forecasts. Analyze data to provide recommendations for cost reduction and increased profitability.
* Team Oversight: Assign tasks to accounting clerks and monitor the accuracy of bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
* Process Improvement: Recommend enhancements to internal accounting policies and systems.
* Ad-hoc Support: Perform other accounting tasks as required to support the Senior Accountant.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's Degree or above.
* Experience: At least 3 years of professional accounting experience or above.
* Certifications: CPA or CA qualification (Preferred).
* Skills: Strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting systems, and the ability to evaluate cash flow and operating costs.

Pay: $78,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
