**The Role**
The position is responsible for managing, development and implementation of training for ANC Adult Staff and Cadets across Australia. The position will manage the Cadet Youth Development Continuum (CYDC) which is the framework underscoring the ANC training development program and is designed using a modified Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) process. The role requires the delivery of detailed learning and development, professional and technical advice in relation to training programs and project management, as well as, training policy development.
The role is responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships (within and external to Defence) and they will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work outcomes. Work as a member of a team and individually to deliver and provide training development assistance to the ANC. Responsible for instructing, logistics planning and management for ANC Officers/Instructors and Navy Cadet courses.

The Royal Australian Navy, through the Australian Navy Cadets Directorate, sponsors the Australian Navy Cadets (ANC) which is a volunteer community organisation designed to develop young Australians. The ANC has a maritime focus and promotes interest in the Navy within the Australian community. The Directorate provides advice, oversight, governance, training and resources to assist the adult volunteers in their safe, effective and efficient delivery of developmental activities to Cadets.
The ANC operates throughout Australia and provides the most tangible link between the Navy and the Australian people. In partnership with local communities, and led by enthusiastic and dedicated adult volunteers, a well governed ANC organisation exists to provide a safe, values based, meaningful and rewarding personal development opportunities for Cadets. Our role is not to command and lead the ANC; rather it is to empower, enable and support, in every way possible, those responsible for leading, training and administering Navy Cadets.
