About the Role:
This role is focused on establishing and maintaining community-based playgroups that cater to the needs of families with children aged birth to 4 years.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop culturally appropriate and accessible playgroup sessions for diverse age groups and backgrounds.
* Offer home visiting support to families within the guidelines of the Small Talk model.
* Be a key contact and representative of the organization when interacting with external agencies.
* Deliver playgroups in accordance with current funding guidelines, such as the Small Talk model.
* Establish and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and referral sources to develop referral pathways for disadvantaged families.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in a similar position, effective communication skills, and a passion for supporting childhood development.
Requirements:
* Rlevant qualification in Early Childhood/Education, Social Work/Community Services, or Health (e.g. Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Children's Services, Social Welfare, or Registered Nurse/MCH).
* Completion of Small Talk training.
* Recent experience in development and facilitation of programs and group work for pre-school aged children.
* Working with Children Check.
