- Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline
- Obtain and retain qualifications as determined by legislation from time to time in order to provide advice to the public and comply with any financial services legislation and regulation enacted by the Commonwealth of Australia or the States
- Equivalent corporate experience - typically at least 1-2 years + Insurance or related industry experience.
**Technical skills**
- Technical Insurance/Broking skills in accordance with RG 146 requirements including:
- insurance products
- legislative obligations
- claims processes and claims broking
- Literacy in technology and systems in current use in the Insurance industry
**Job Purpose**
- Contribute to business growth objectives of Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers by providing assistant to the Ac Executive, Senior Ac Executive, and Account Manager in all aspects of client service.**Main Activities**
- With support of senior staff, assist manage the relationships across the client portfolio and understand your clients' specific requirements for insurance, their business objectives and strategy.
- Supporting senior staff with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities & build business relationships
- Assisting senior staff & team with the design, development, implementation, management, and coordination of insurance programs for clients.
- Ensure that all correspondents are accurate, compliant, and prepared in accordance with internal procedures.
- Gathering client information to support renewal documentation and providing assistance to senior staff with delegated tasks.
- Management of client information in the company broking system and assist in making sure all correspondents are accurate, compliant, and prepared in accordance with internal procedures.
- Assisting with the follow up and collecting client payments & invoicing.
- Maintaining the renewal tracker (if applicable) and ensuring that the policies due for renewal, client payments, insurer payments and unposted transactions lists are up to date and maintained in good order.
- Providing a high level of support through general administration and provide relief reception support as required.
- Assisting with achieving team budget and contributing to the team goals.
- Maintaining strong compliance outcomes and a compliance culture.
