The Compliance function drives better compliance, regulatory and customer outcomes across the Group. This role is part of a high-performing team supporting ambitious business growth.
This role provides extensive compliance advice on Open Banking and Consumer Data Right obligations across Business Banking Lines of Business.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide compliance advice to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations.
* Collaborate with Retail Banking Services to achieve business unit alignment.
* Proactively advocate for continuous improvement in sustainable recommendations and deliverables.
* Assess Business Banking Incidents against regulatory obligations.
* Support engagement with key regulators, including drafting correspondence and exemption requests.
* Review customer communications and internal collateral.
* Act as a subject matter expert for Open Banking and Consumer Data Right within Business Banking.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Law or a related legal discipline are highly regarded.
* High performance, high engagement and commitment to getting things done.
* Minimum 5 years' experience managing non-financial (predominantly compliance) risk.
* Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory obligations applicable to Business Banking.
* Experience advising on Open Banking and Consumer Data Right is desirable.
* A proven ability to navigate and apply complex legislative instruments.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to influence stakeholders, generate buy-in and drive improvement.
* Ability to prioritise, schedule and meet challenging deadlines autonomously.
