About The Role
South West Healthcare (SWH) has an exciting new opportunity for social workers or similar who are passionate about prevention and early intervention work in the sexual and family violence sector.
South Western Centre Against Sexual Assault (SWCASA) were one of 3 specialist sexual assault agencies across the Western Victoria region to secure a full-time position in the Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) Pilot Project (2023-2026). The FDSV Project forms a critical part of the Commonwealth Government's initiative to improve health system responses to family and domestic violence.
Joining the SWCASA team as a Sexual Violence Integrator, you will work in partnership with the SWCASA Family Violence Integrator and the broader WVPHN team to deliver the FDSV Training Pilot to primary care professionals across the Barwon South West region.
The objective of the FDSV pilot is to ensure that individuals at risk of, or experiencing, family, domestic, or sexual violence—including childhood sexual abuse—are identified early, supported appropriately, and referred to specialised services. The program is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally safe, and evidence-based practice.
The Sexual Violence Integrator role will focus on strengthening the capacity of General Practice at the workforce, organisational, and systems levels. The goal is to enhance early identification and support for clients affected by sexual assault, childhood sexual assault, and/or family violence.
Position Overview
* Employment Type: Full-time (80 hours per fortnight with a monthly ADO), Fixed Term position until June 2026
* Location: Warrnambool Campus
* Classification: Qualified Social Worker Grade 2 or equivalent
* Salary Range: $90,235.60 - $103,724 pro rata, plus superannuation
What You Bring
* Social Work or equivalent degree as per the mandatory minimum qualification requirement for specialist Family Violence practitioners.
* Minimum five years relevant experience within the family violence or sexual assault sector.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of the complex issues surrounding sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse, including its short- and long-term impacts on victim survivors.
* Expert understanding of the structural, theoretical, and therapeutic issues surrounding sexual abuse and childhood sexual abuse
* Demonstrated experience with the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework, or a strong background in risk assessment and management in family violence contexts.
* A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation- including Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and Child Youth and Families Act 2005.
* Previous experience in delivering training and education sessions is highly desired.
