**Patient Services Assistant (Stepping Stones)**

**Our Journey**:
**Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
**A Day in the Life**:
**Shifts available**:
Ward: Stepping Stones (Children's Mental Health Unit)
Monday to Friday 14.00 - 20.00
- (55 hours per fortnight)_
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Delivering patient meals
- Cleaning clinical areas and environmental spaces
- Transfer and cleaning of equipment
- Collection of supplies and running errands
- Assisting nursing staff as requested

**What you need**:
- Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
- Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures.
- Ability to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of waste segregation
- Experience in the use of commercial cookery equipment
- Ability to use and operate a gzunda or bed moving equipment
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service from a health care or hospitality environment _(Desirable)_
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- A Victorian Working with children (WWC) card _(Essential)_
- Current Victorian drivers licence _(Desirable)_
