We are looking for a highly motivated teacher willing to teach Year 5 full time for term 2, 2026 and then continue teaching the same class Thursday / Friday for the remainder of the school year.
* Commencement Date: April 2026
* Employment Type: Term 2 - 30 hours per week - Terms 3 & 4 - 12 hours per week, Thursday/Friday
* Salary Range: Commensurate with proven experience - Graduate $84,077 to Lead Teacher $142,764 FTE Gross per annum + 12.75% super

About the Role
Good Counsel Primary School, Innisfail is currently accepting applications for a fixed-term leave coverage contract for Term 2 full time and Thursday/ Friday continuing for the remainder of the school year. The position is replacing a Year 5 Teacher going on Long Service Leave for Term 2 who currently works Monday - Wednesday and the second teacher who will be on Parental Leave for the remainder of the year who works 2 days, Thursday/ Friday.
As a Teacher you will:
* Deliver effective learning and teaching programs which will be pre- prepared by the current teachers
* Adapt planning and make modifications if required to the planning
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning
* Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment
Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.
Work Requirements
* Be registered or eligible to be register with Queensland College of Teachers
* Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
