We are seeking a Part Time Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Enrichment Department. Our approach is centred on understanding student variability and recognising the unique strengths, learning profiles and requirements of each student. The Learning Enrichment team works closely with teachers to ensure students can access the curriculum and experience success through responsive instruction, evidence-informed adjustments and respectful, student-centred support.
Responsibilities
* Working with students who require support to engage with classroom learning, assessments and daily routines through in‐class support, small‐group work and individual assistance.
* Supporting the implementation of Student Learning Profiles and Individual Plans in collaboration with classroom and subject teachers, using clear, structured and scaffolded approaches that help students organise, process and apply new learning.
* Assisting with strategies that promote student focus, organisation and confidence, including breaking tasks into manageable steps, using visual supports, maintaining predictable routines and helping students navigate changes with care and clarity.
* Delivering evidence‐based literacy intervention programs such as MiniLit, MacqLit or MultiLit under the guidance of a Learning Enrichment teacher.
* Using tools and adjustments that reduce cognitive load and support neurodiverse learners, such as assistive technology, movement breaks, and creating calm, low‐distraction learning spaces.
* Attending off‐site learning experiences – including excursions, camps and sporting events – to support identified students' learning, wellbeing and participation.
* Working flexibly across Primary and Secondary settings, preferably with experience or interest in supporting Stage 3 and 4 learners.
Minimum Qualifications
* Certificate III in Education Support and/or currently undertaking studies in Education/Teaching.
