Green Light Worldwide are looking for an accomplished Cyber Security Engineer to join Melbourne Delivery Team for a 6 month contract position.
Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for all aspects of cyber security risk (People, Process & Technology) for Corporate environment, covering Azure Cloud, Head Office, Datacenters, Oil & Gas Refinery, various remote sites (60-70 sites) and the edge for 1000+ Retail Mobility & Convenience Stores. This role is crucial that involves building relationships across the business to ensure compliance with cyber security requirement.
Responsibilities
* Protect the business through the provision of cyber security engineering and operational services in support of the Cyber Safety Management System (CSMS).
* Provide thought leadership and advice to management and stakeholders on a broad range of complex cyber security matters across people, process and technology including IT, IOT and OT services.
* Enhance visibility by analysing technology and business services/systems to provide:
o Risk assessment for information and cyber security related risks.
o Relevant, timely and actionable threat intelligence.
o Recommendations towards the continual improvement cycle.
* Technical support, configuration guidance and vendor management for cyber security services and technology services including: firewalls, proxy, email filtering, application whitelisting, anti-malware, DLP, cloud platforms and others.
* Provide support and guidance for good practice across CI/CD, DevSecOps and Application Security. Conduct/coordination of security testing and validation: vulnerability, web application, penetration and phishing tests.
* Enhance cyber security resilience through the provision of expertise and support to incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
o Act as an incident handler as part of Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
o Conduct investigations of cyber security related events and incidents.
* Implementation of complex enterprise wide cyber security related projects.
* Support IT/OT and business project delivery through the provision of:
o Cyber security guidance.
o Reviews and risk assessments.
o Security testing.
* Enhance process effectiveness including updating cyber security related documentation.
* Other activities as directed in support of the Cyber Safety Program.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years enterprise cyber security experience along with functional expertise across:
o Experience in identifying, assessing and communicating cyber security related risks
o Knowledge of Information Security principles, frameworks and good practices
o Familiarity with AESCSF, ASD, NIST, CIS, ISO27001 and/or related standards
o CISSP (or similar certifications or tertiary education related to Information Security)
o Relevant complex security experience with (or similar technology):
* Experience with
o Crowdstrike EDR
o Application whitelisting (Carbon Black)
o Netskope SSE
o Vulnerability Management/Scanning (Tenable)
o CIS Hardening
o SASE, Firewalls, Proxy, Email filtering, AMP, ISE, Routers and Switches (Cisco)
o Azure, O365, server and desktop operating systems, and applications (Microsoft)
o Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Operating systems
o Mobile phones & tablets (iPhone & Android)
o Web Application Scanning/Testing
o Application and API Securityo Zero Trust/Micro Network Segmentation
o Privilege Access Management
o Network Detection and Response (NDR)
o User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA)
o Security automation and orchestration
o Service Now and Jira
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and vendors, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
