Lubrication Technician Role
The primary focus of this role is to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of oil and grease systems at our Copper Concentrator.
As a Lubrication Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, repairing, and improving these systems to maximize plant availability and life.
This is a residentially based position in Mount Isa working a Monday to Friday day shift roster. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform routine condition monitoring inspections and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Safety Leadership: Promote and reinforce a culture of safety within the team.
* Oil and Grease System Management: Monitor, maintain, repair, and improve oil and grease systems across the Copper Concentrator.
* Condition Monitoring: Perform routine condition monitoring inspections and analysis to ensure optimal system performance.
* Housekeeping: Maintain a high level of housekeeping standards within the work area.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Trade Qualification: Fitter (Mechanical) qualification is essential for this role.
* Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in the mining industry, preferably in lubrication and hydraulic systems.
* Qualifications: Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical), current manual driver's license, and sound computer skills are required.
* Advantages: Experience with SAG/Ball Mills, oil analysis, and condition monitoring is highly advantageous for this role.
