We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sustainability Project Planning Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our campus planning and sustainability initiatives. Based within our Properties, Facilities and Development team, you will help shape the physical and environmental future of our university in alignment with the Greater Curtin Master Plan and our institutional sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive project planning, feasibility assessments, stakeholder consultation, and compliance with certification and legislative frameworks.
- Lead, advise on and support sustainability and campus planning projects.
- Develop, inform and influence University-wide sustainability strategies and environmental policy.
- Liaise with consultants, government bodies, and university stakeholders to ensure innovative, sustainable, and integrated outcomes.
- Support Curtin\'s commitments to Green Star Communities, carbon accounting, ESG metrics, decarbonisation and integrated transport planning through the provision of advice, monitoring and reporting.
Selection Criteria
- Qualifications in sustainability, carbon accounting, environmental sciences, transport planning, urban design, or a related field.
- Extensive experience delivering sustainability and planning projects within complex environments.
- Proficiency with Green Star tools - GSAP accreditation is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated expertise in ESG, urban placemaking, environmental policy, and risk management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, project reporting, and communication skills.
Role Requirements
- As this is a continuing role, you must have permanent working rights in Australia to be considered. Visa sponsorship and/or relocation is not available for this role.
- Willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin\'s satisfaction.
