About the role
We are looking for passionate and experienced Chefs and kitchenhands to join our vibrant team at Tommys cafe' in Gosford, NSW. As a casual role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals in our busy kitchen, ensuring our customers have an exceptional dining experience. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to the continued success of our popular cafe.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals to our customers
2. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
3. Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
4. Assisting with general kitchen duties, including food prep, plating and serving
5. Collaborating with the wider team to deliver excellent customer service
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Chef or kitchenhand in a similar hospitality environment
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience required for Chef positions
3. Minimum 1+ years of experience required for kitchenhand positions
4. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food
6. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen
7. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
8. Food safety and hygiene certification
9. Food Handler Certificate is required
10. Australian work authorisation is required at time of application
