Van der Meer Consulting is a multi-disciplinary Structural, Civil, Hydraulic and Fire engineering consultancy with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Our expanding company is currently seeking a suitably qualifiedStructural Engineerto join our Sydney office.
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Minimum Bachelor of Engineering in Structural/ Civil.
* Minimum 2 – 5 years' structural engineering experience gained within a consultancy environment is preferred.
* Demonstrated experience in the design of projects in the residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
* Sound knowledge and application of Australian Standard design codes, relevant design techniques and construction procedures and techniques.
* Experience in the use of software such as RC Buildings, Microstranor Space Gass, Rapt, Slabs, PT 3D and Microsoft Office.
* Must have excellent presentation and communication skills as these are essential for client liaison.
* Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate and work with draftsmen, engineers, architects and design managers.
* Proven track record of working to tight deadlines and within budget.
* Be enthusiastic and committed to facilitating client needs
* Must demonstrate initiative and be a team player
* C class drivers license
