Reporting to the Chief Commercialisation Officer, this full-time role is based in Brisbane HQ. The Sales/Customer Success Team Leaderplays a pivotal role in driving the success of TMG's group companies in driving growth and revenue whilst also building the value of our valued commercial clients — including distributors, brand partners, contract manufacturers, and formulation clients. We are seeking an experienced Sales Team Leader with exceptional skills and experience to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a world-class Customer Success team, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and proactive partnership.
* Serve as the principal strategic partner for premier global brands, guiding them from initial pilot to commercial success.
* Drive the commercial engine of our customer base, owning KPIs for satisfaction, retention, and revenue expansion.
* Architect and scale global customer success operations, from onboarding and order management to distributor enablement.
* Act as the bridge between science and commerce, translating complex R&D outcomes into compelling, market-ready solutions for our partners.
* Champion the voice of the customer within the business, providing structured feedback to shape the future of our product and R&D pipeline.
* Develop and implement sophisticated customer engagement strategies, including technical education, commercial reviews, and pipeline monitoring.
* Cultivate and expand key accounts, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for upselling and new applications.
* Standardize and professionalize all customer-facing documentation and collateral, creating a seamless and high-quality customer experience.
* Master our CRM (Odoo) to deliver data-driven insights, reporting on key metrics and informing leadership on market trends and opportunities.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or Technical Sales (within nutraceuticals, functional foods, or biotechnology helpful but full product training will be given).
* Excellent communication skills — capable of translating technical information into customer-friendly narratives.
* Exceptional attention to detail and comfortable in managing complex multi-party projects (distributors, internal operation teams, brand owners).
* Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Odoo) and project tracking tools.
* Experience leading small teams in high-growth, science-based environments.
* Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Food Science, Biotechnology, or Business management highly regarded
* Strong understanding of synbiotics, probiotics, and functional ingredient supply chains highly regarded.
