ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Streetscapes team focuses on managing the daily presentation of the public domain within the Cumberland City Area, ensuring that it is maintained and presented so that residents and visitors are proud of the area and it meets their expectations.
The Team Member Streetscapes will be responsible for the on site efficient and effective use of Council resources. The Team Member will ensure Council's Streetscapes are maintained to meet the communities expectations through a works program that utilises the industries best practice. You will successfully deliver in streetscape and verge maintenance, traffic facilities, litter patrol, weed spraying and minor tree maintenance.
The successful applicant will require:
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in multiple park Operations such as streetscapes and Verge Maintenance, Laneway maintenance and Garden Bed maintenance.
- Experience in operating a small plant
- Demonstrate sound knowledge in multiple streetscape operations functional areas such as verge mowing, edging, weeding, chemical spraying and litter collection.
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus with sound customer service skills and the ability to embrace a system of change and continual improvement.
- Current class C drivers licence
- Current Traffic Control and Traffic Management Implementer card (also known as Traffic Control Combo course)
- General Construction Card (White Card)
- AQF3 'ChemCert' Chemical Accreditation.

About this role:
- Two (2) x permanent, full-time positions
- 35 hour week
- Access to Council's 9 day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement
- Located at Council's Guildford and Auburn Depot, with frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council's work locations
Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 4 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,064.88 to $1,224.61 per week, plus 11.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
