The role leads the daily operational implementation of inclusive education, ensuring students can access and participate in learning on the same basis as their peers through coordinated adjustments, capability building, targeted supports and case management.
The Head of Department provides curriculum, pedagogical and adjustment leadership across the school and manages the Inclusion Team.
Key responsibilities:
* Operational leadership of inclusive education.
* Operational leadership of the NCCD.
* Case management for academic, cultural, disability and access needs.
* Build staff capability through delivery of professional learning.
* Line management of the inclusion team.
* Partner with curriculum HODs to ensure alignment for adjusted programs.
* Collaborate with guidance officers to support high‑complexity cases.
* Work with year‑level teams on attendance, engagement and behaviour in an inclusion framework.
