Senior Mental Health Clinician - Substance Use in Pregnancy & Parenting Service

Community Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Service, Bathurst

About The Role

The Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS) clinician, will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person-centred specialist care, working in collaboration with clients/families/carers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve identified goals and outcomes. The SUPPS role is based in Bathurst, and services the Bathurst Hub, delivering an evidence based liaison and consultation service to pregnant women with substance use issues, their families, and other services that these clients are in need of, and/or engaged with. The role will carry a caseload and perform home visits as required.

In this role, you will use innovative, evidence-based skills and interventions. You will professionally support and improve outcomes for pregnant people and their children who's pregnancies are complicated by drug or alcohol use.

The successful applicant will take a trauma-informed approach and provide respectful, person-centred care, tailored to each individual's needs. Central to your role will be employing an individualised, holistic approach to care, incorporating comprehensive care planning to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person's journey.
