Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Payroll Officer to join our supportive team facilitating the processing of payroll for our approximately 850 permanent employees. This exciting and challenging position will see you working in high volume, quick-paced environment where complex multi-agreement interpretation is required.
Duties include:
Multiple Enterprise Agreement interpretation across multiple work sites and companies
Accurate & timely processing of manual timesheets
Data Entry
Preparation of weekly wages
Liaising with employees & Supervisors regarding payroll queries
Reconciliation and balancing of payroll reports
Maintaining employee master files
Assisting with the management of shared mailbox
Workers compensation payments/submission of PIAWE documentation to insurer
Filing and general payroll duties
To be considered you will have:
Minimum 3 years payroll experience in a similar business and industry
Experience with computerised payroll systems
The ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Demonstrated attention to detail
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
Knowledge and understanding of current Payroll, Taxation and Superannuation legislation
Intermediate level MS Office skills, in particular experience with Excel, Word and Outlook
The ability to work independently and enjoy working in a small team environment
A progressive and continuous improvement focus
Ideally you will have had experience using Payroll Metrics/UKG/Kronos and SolvInjury, however this is not essential.
