The Heart Centre for Children, SCHN is one of the largest and busiest sub‑specialty teams within the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) and provides cardiac care to children of New South Wales and the surrounding regions at the Children's Hospital Westmead, Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick and within our outreach centres.
The Cardiac Concierge and Patient Experience Officer seeks to provide excellent customer service and support for patients, families, staff, and visitors to the Heart Centre for Children at The Children's Hospital Westmead.
The Cardiac Concierge and Patient Experience Officer role is focused on the passionate delivery of high quality patient experiences and improving every moment of contact patients and families have with the Heart Centre for Children, SCHN.
Main duties include (but are not limited to) ensuring the first point of contact (on the phone, in person, in writing) is a positive experience, greeting patients and families upon entry to the Heart Centre for Children, answering enquiries and referring to appropriate staff, coordinating appointments, gathering/entering/filing patient information, billing and general administration duties.
From time to time, the Cardiac Concierge and Patient Experience Officer may also be required to perform other job‑related ad‑hoc tasks other than those specifically stated in this position description.
The duties and responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values, and operating systems of The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network and in‑line with the NSW Health's Code of Conduct.

* Ability to remain calm under pressure, particularly during difficult circumstances.
