The Purpose-Built True North has a length of just under 50m, designed specifically for shallow water expeditions with a draft of only 2.3m.
Onboard you will find 6 adventure tenders all with 140HP Suzuki outboards and an Eurocopter EC130 above on the heli deck.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Marine Engineer with an AMSA MED#1 NC qualification to join our dynamic team.
This role is ideally suited for a recent graduate or someone at the early stages of their marine engineering career, eager to grow and develop their technical skills in a hands-on, challenging environment.
Working alongside the Chief engineer on board the 50m True North, your every day is an adventure
Your attention to detail and can do attitude will make sure fitting into the family of an experienced crew of 20 will be an enjoyable one.
With an even time 3 week on – 3 week off roster and possibility of FIFO from any Australian capital city, you will be based out of Broome, Western Australia for 6 months of the year exploring the Kimberley coastline all the way up to Wyndham followed by 3 months between the islands of Indonesia, West Papua and New Guinea and finishing off the season by heading down to Sydney, Adelaide and around to Perth – an exciting career opportunity awaits
Some responsibilities and duties that you will be required to carry out are as follows:
Assist in equipment maintenance and upkeep.
Daily checks of engine room machinery.
Bunkering operations.
Crane operations on board the vessel.
Equipment handling and servicing.
Daily activity and guest interaction.
Tender maintenance and upkeep.
Work well in a close team environment.
Have good time management.
