Who are we looking for?
We're seeking a curious and ambitious Planning & Trading Manager with a creative mindset to help drive strategic and innovative media solutions for our clients. This Manager will identify the optimal media channel mix to maximise business outcomes across a spread of clients. You will have a strong grasp of TV, Radio, OOH, and Digital planning and buying, along with the ability to analyse media performance and craft insightful recommendations.

We are a tight-knit team with a flat and fluid structure, allowing this person to stretch their wings and build a holistic, competitive skill set, whilst working with some of the most innovative clients in the Brisbane market, including one of the fastest growing online wagering companies.
In this role, you will be accountable for the implementation of all investment strategies and oversee the trading product across all channels. You’ll partner with clients and maintain best practice processes to ensure accuracy and quality of media planning, negotiation, and implementation. Importantly, you will work within a positive and supportive team who are committed to your ongoing growth, learning, and development.
What will your day to day look like?
* Lead Campaign Implementation and Client Communications: Drive the execution of media campaigns and maintain clear, effective communication with clients
* Leverage tools like Spectra, Fusion, Asteroid, TV Map, and more to enhance campaign performance and insights
* Support Strategic Media Planning: Collaborate with senior team members and clients to deliver strategic, insight-driven media plans that align with client goals
* Negotiate and Optimise: Engage with media vendors to negotiate terms, optimise budgets, and refine the phasing and channel mix for maximum impact
* Identify and Sell Media Opportunities: Proactively seek out and propose media opportunities that go beyond standard recommendations, adding value to client campaigns
* Manage Reporting and Financials: Oversee reporting, insights, and financial management to ensure smooth and efficient campaign execution
What will set you up for success?
* Ideally 3-4+ years’ experience media planning/trading in an agency environment. We appreciate great talent can come from many different places, so are open to those without media agency experience, but who are hungry to learn, resilient, have a great attitude, and are keen to make an impact
* Strong relationship management skills - both client and media relationships
* Strong media buying/negotiation skills
* Advanced knowledge of all media & research tools required for planning and ability to analyse output and identify insights that influence media planning
* Strong understanding of all media channels, with the ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each channel and the impact these have in delivering client objectives
* Excellent knowledge of the media marketplace with the use of tools such as SMI to demonstrate understanding
* Excellent critical analysis of survey/market data ensuring informed media buying decisions
* An ability to gain insights from competitive data and understand the impact on our clients’ business, looking for insights and recommendations that will guide media strategy
* Mid-level management skills to develop junior members of the team
* Excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
* Ability to effectively communicate – written and verbal, and strong presentation skills
* Ability to manage a broad scope of tasks and manage time & workload to deliver on deadlines
* Strong initiative and drive – seeking out new projects, opportunities, and tasks whenever possible
