About the Role
The Kariong Neighbourhood Centre is a great place to meet new people. Our groups include Active Playgroup, Pilates for Seniors, The Over 50s Friendship Group and Tai Chi. We are looking to recruit several Volunteer Admin Assistants to assist our Centre's Admin Team with day-to-day administration of the Centre.
Responsibilities
* Customer service in person and answering phones
* Filing, photocopying, keeping the office and Centre tidy
* Assisting with computer‑based marketing & media, updating the Centre's website and social media profiles
* Data entry and creating or modifying forms and documents using MS Office Suite software as directed by Admin
* Assisting with setup and pack‑up for groups and programs, as well as functions and special events at the Centre
Qualifications and Skills
* Confidence with use of MS Office Suite software
* Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
Commitment and Work Details
* Category: Community Services
* Commitment: Regular – more than 6 months
* Type of Work: Administration & Office Management, IT & Web Development, Marketing, Media & Communications
* Time Required: Opportunities are available Monday‑Friday between 9am‑2pm. Volunteers typically work 3‑5 hours per day.
* Training: Induction
