In this vital role, you'll develop and deliver high quality training programs that ensure the safety, efficiency, and compliance of our mobile maintenance operations across sites.
You'll also be responsible for assessing and maintaining workforce competency, mentoring trades personnel, and ensuring all training meets operational and statutory requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Develop, deliver, and assess training programs for mobile maintenance employees, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.
Conduct competency assessments for trades, apprentices, and contractors to confirm adherence to industry and company benchmarks.
Maintain current training matrices, records, and systems in line with company procedures and legislative obligations.
Collaborate closely with Supervisors, Leading Hands, and the Maintenance Superintendents to identify training needs and develop upskilling pathways.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical support to maintenance personnel to drive capability and confidence.
Assist with the review and implementation of HSE procedures, ensuring safety first practices in all training activities.
Liaise with other department Training Coordinators to coordinate site wide learning initiatives.
Continually monitor and improve training content to reflect new equipment, technology, and regulatory updates.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (essential).
Relevant Maintenance Trade Qualification (highly desirable).
Minimum 5 years' experience in mobile maintenance, heavy diesel, or mechanical fitting within a mining environment.
Strong understanding of maintenance systems, isolation procedures, and mobile equipment operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
Computer proficiency in training systems, databases, and Microsoft applications.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
