You will be responsible for supporting and assisting the General Manager Operations by organising and managing the operational function of the warehouse to optimise efficiency, provide exceptional customer service, and to manage safety and quality standards, while building and maintaining a skilled, effective team.
Responsibilities:
* Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of warehouse, i.e. Goods In, Order Preparation and Dispatch, Inventory Movement, Customisation and Rework, Goods Outbound
* Manage and report on KPIs/service level agreements in place for contract/s
* Completing weekly Customer invoicing in line with business requirements
* Profit and loss responsibility for the assigned site ensuring labour and productivity targets are achieved
* Be responsible for people management
* Manage stock levels in collaboration with customer stakeholders and identify any stock loss/damage
* Take ownership for site facilities, repairs and maintenance and waste management
* Develop, review, update and maintain SOPs, workflows and processes
* Provide information, visibility and reporting to appropriate levels of management as required
* Assess, analyse and report on financial results and operational performance
* Monitor performance against budget and take appropriate corrective action
* Identify areas of continuous improvement in own area of responsibility
* Conduct and minute toolbox meetings and conduct/support site inspections and safety audits
About you:
* Tertiary qualifications (Degree or Diploma level) in Logistics and Supply Chain
* Higher School Certificate or equivalent (minimum requirement)
* Minimum of 5 years' industry experience within a warehouse environment
* Minimum of 3 years' demonstrated people management experience
* Understanding of the full supply chain and logistics lifecycle (essential), including working knowledge of transport operations would be advantageous
* Strong system skill, Manhatten Scale is preferred
* Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, ensuring resources are managed at optimum capacity
