In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. We provide defence‐ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on‐base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on‐site medical care.
About Edinburgh Health Centre
Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25 km north of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh. The super‐base accommodates 3,500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, including the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine. The health centre operates a 16‐bed low‐dependency ward 24/7 and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical, and rehabilitation services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30‐15:30 Monday to Friday, with weekend and on‐call shifts as required.
Dental Assistant – ADF Health Services
As a Dental Assistant, you will make a positive impact by providing chair‐side assistance to a Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist, managing patient records, and promoting oral health.

Responsibilities
* Provide chair‐side assistance to a Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist
* Assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records
* Assist in the promotion of oral health to patients
* Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, including Defence Policies & Procedures
* Contribute to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and maintain optimal hygiene of the surgery
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting or a nationally recognised equivalent qualification
* Demonstrated compliance with relevant standards and procedures
* Minimum of 2 years' chair‐side experience (full‐time equivalent) within the last 5 years
Additional Requirements
* Must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role
* You do not need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on‐base; your job remains here even if Defence personnel you care for are deployed
