About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Officer / Trainer & Assessor to support the delivery of regional training, mentoring and support program for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) students. The successful applicant will reside in Port Augusta, Whyalla, Ceduna or Port Pirie.
This role suits someone who brings together:
* a current Certificate IV in Training and Assesmsent
* Recent experience working as a Qualified Educator (Early Years)
* Strong project administration and coordination skills
You will support the delivery of this project through effective forward planning, great stakeholder engagement and effective training, mentoring and student support.
Due to the regional focus, only applicants who reside in or near one of the listed regional centres will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and support delivery of mentoring and workshops
* Liaise with regional stakeholders, employers, and community partners
* Deliver and assess vocational training in ECEC
* Assist with enrolments and student progress
* Contribute to reporting, milestone tracking, and data collection
* Maintain accurate training and assessment records in line with the regulator's standards
* Support continuous improvement across training and project processes
About You
You are organised, proactive, and passionate about education and workforce development. You enjoy working in regional communities and are comfortable balancing training operations with project coordination responsibilities. You like to engage with a range of stakeholders and have a "can do" attitude.
Essential Requirements
* TAE40122 / TAE40121 (or equivalent current TAE qualification)
* Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum Certificate III)
* Demonstrated project administration or coordination experience or strong administration skills and experience
* Current industry skills and experience, working as an Educator
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational, documentation, and time‑management skills
* Australian work rights
* Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Live and work regionally (Whyalla, Port Pirie, Port Augusta)
Desirable
* Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
* Good MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Familiarity with a variety of software systems, including Student Management Systems (SMS)
