About the Role
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a
Technical Sales Representative – Drilling Solutions (HDD)
to join our team based in Mt Kuring-Gai.
This is a critical, high-impact role responsible for driving revenue through a combination of servicing existing clients and actively developing new business opportunities.
This role will suit someone with extensive hands-on Horizontal Directional Drilling field experience who is looking to transition into a technical, customer-facing sales position. While sales experience is highly desirable, it is not essential, however the right technical background, attitude, and commercial mindset are non-negotiable. You will be the technical expert in front of clients, helping them solve problems, select the right products, and build long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow an existing portfolio of HDD and drilling clients across NSW, QLD, and VIC
* Actively prospect and develop new business, identifying and converting new sales opportunities
* Promote and sell a range of HDD and drilling consumables and equipment
* Build strong relationships with clients, site team, procurement, and decision-makers
* Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on real-world drilling applications
* Work closely with internal operations and support team to ensure seamless service delivery
* Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline, and opportunities using internal systems
What You'll Bring
* Extensive hands-on field experience operating Horizontal Directional Drilling rigs and auxiliary equipment to perform drilling activities
* Strong understanding of HDD tooling, consumables, and drilling processes
* Exposure to other drilling methods (exploration, geotechnical) around mining and or heavy equipment environments
* Previous experience in technical sales, account management, or customer-facing roles (highly desirable)
* Formal qualifications in drilling or related fields (highly desirable)
* Competence in using ERP system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
* Comfortable initiating conversations with B2B clients and building new relationships
* Professional, reliable, and well organised, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a solutions-focused approach
* Solid knowledge of WHS and safe work practices
