About the Role:

* Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities in accordance with their support plans.
* Assist with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
* Offer transportation support to clients.
* Provide respite care to clients and their families.
* Maintain accurate records of client care plans and progress.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the support team.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations for the well-being of clients.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in disability support.
Key Qualifications:

* A minimum of high school education or equivalent qualification.
* Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to pursue completion (highly regarded).
* Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
* Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
* Strong understanding of disability support services and relevant guidelines.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work with diverse client groups, considering individual support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
* Basic care and first aid skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
