Senior Financial AccountantBased in Goondiwindi QLDCompetitive Salary + House and Utilities + VehicleSupportive Team Culture in a Family-Owned BusinessWhy join the business :Based in Goondiwindi QLD, our client is a family-owned agricultural group, involved in a diverse range of activities including irrigated cotton, ginning, warehousing and logistics, broad acre grains and pulses, livestock breeding, backgrounding, & feed lotting.Your responsibilities will include :Management of all aspects of the financial accounts (monthly, quarterly, annual), including preparing and reviewing;Financial planning, analysis, management and reporting of the budgeting & forecasting process;Manage the daily banking and cash management, including accounts payable and receivables and relevant reconciliations;Work closely with the enterprise managers to develop working budget models that are both meaningful and measurable;Fixed asset management, including insurance, finance, and asset registers; andAssisting with statutory reporting, auditor enquiries, invoicing, purchase orders and enquiries from various departments across the group.About you :To be successful in the role, you will have the necessary experience, motivation and a desire to work in the agriculture sector together with :A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or similar;A strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements with experience in financial reporting, analysis & ERP systems;Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and managing conflicting priorities; andThe ability to be reliable, conscientious and motivated.Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to focus on driving operational efficiencies, manage project budgets, provide financial reporting to senior leadership and work with the established processes.
