Schneider Electric's Digital Buildings business is shifting the needle in the way we support our customers to maximize their energy efficiency.
We have an exciting opportunity for a dual Building Management System (BMS) and Security Service Technician to be our representative in Alice Springs, NT.
Reporting directly to the Regional Service Manager, our Service Technicians are uniquely placed as technical partners to our customers across Defence, Shopping Centres, Commercial Buildings, with a significant focus on Healthcare, specifically hospitals. Our technicians are passionate about partnering with customers to improve their business with a focus on energy and security solutions.
The Day To Day
At Schneider Electric, the day-to-day work includes installing, servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, fault-finding, programming and commissioning building management and access control systems.
Managing the breakdown and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems & Building Management Systems.
Supporting installation, programming and commissioning of new and expanded Electronic Security Systems.
Demonstrate a high knowledge of products to constantly suggest improvements to customers.
Ensure that excellent service delivery is met and achieved within budget & time constraints.
Practice a high degree of safety awareness, ensuring safety requirements are met onsite.
Participate in on-call duties, where you may need to work after hours. On-call allowance and overtime payments apply where applicable.
Experience with the installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of a range of Electronic Security and Access Control systems, Buildings Management Systems, IP Networking and Video Management Systems.
Experience with various IP and Analogue CCTV Systems (Pelco experience preferred but not required).
Proven record of high-quality work complemented with solid experience of troubleshooting, fault-finding and effective resolutions.
Qualifications
Must have a full unrestricted Electrical License (A-Grade).
Must hold a Current Security License and Driver's Licence.
Technically skilled in Electrical or Mechanical HVAC or Instrumentation or Controls.
Knowledgeable in building management, access control and video management systems.
IT proficient with fault-finding experience and knowledge of network routers, switches and network hardware.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build great relationships; comfortable in a customer-facing role.
Excited about technology, excels in problem solving within challenging environments, focused, collaborative, passionate, forward-thinking, innovative, and willing to share ideas and suggestions to support continuous improvement.
Motivated and confident, capable of working independently or as part of a team, prioritising work and following through to completion.
