Statutory Planning Leadership Role

We are seeking a senior professional to lead our statutory planning team and drive innovation in this critical area.

The successful candidate will have the ability to mentor and lead a team, with exceptional customer service skills and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.

The role involves providing sound technical advice on statutory planning processes, leading the implementation of the Bass Coast Shire Planning Scheme, and contributing to improving customer services functions through process innovation.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the Victorian Planning Provisions, demonstrated experience in assessing planning applications, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

About the Job

The Principal Statutory Planner - Innovation will be responsible for leading the statutory planning team, providing strategic advice, and driving innovation in this area.

The role requires a strong understanding of the Victorian Planning Provisions, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the statutory planning team and provide strategic advice on statutory planning processes
* Implement the Bass Coast Shire Planning Scheme and contribute to improving customer services functions through process innovation
* Provide sound technical advice on statutory planning processes and communicate complex information effectively
* Mentor and lead a team of planners, providing guidance and support as needed

Requirements

* Degree in urban or regional planning, or related field
* Proven experience in statutory planning, including assessment of planning applications
* Knowledge of the Victorian Planning Provisions and government processes
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
