The role:
At Belmont District Hospital, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, managing high equity and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) patients with complex needs. You'll handle advanced respiratory support, including high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP, while overseeing admission and discharge planning. You will be responsible for delivering high acuity care to critically ill cardiac patients, including those pre and post cardiac procedures, arrhythmias, heart failure and myocardial infarctions. This also includes continuously monitoring heart rhythms with ECG telemetry and titrating iv medications based on protocols. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing arterial lines and providing meticulous post-operative monitoring.
You won't be working alone. The selected candidate will be supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, the Coronary Care Nurse Educator and your fellow Registered Nurses. Supernumery days will be provided and there area regular professional education days.
