Remote is seeking an experienced Systems Developer to join the team at Home Affairs. The successful candidate will conduct the evaluation of multiple systems and, with the project management team, select a preferred system that meets project requirements. The role also involves evaluating RF protocol analysis systems and machine learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems to filter large datasets and reduce signals of interest.
The successful candidate will configure, test, and install the evaluated IPMS, providing detailed reports to the project management team. Upon selecting a preferred IPMS solution, the candidate will oversee procurement and installation, following proper procedures. The role includes integrating systems into the corporate ICT infrastructure in collaboration with relevant teams, engaging stakeholders effectively, and providing BASIC training on all systems to relevant personnel. Research and evaluate emerging IPMS capabilities
Evaluate IPMS systems, protocol analyzers, and ML/AI systems to determine the best solution
Develop IPMS infrastructure and capabilities
Deploy IPMS systems as required
Analyze and report on data from IPMS systems
Integrate IPMS into corporate ICT infrastructure and security networks
Collaborate with government agencies

Experience assessing, maintaining, and managing IPMS capabilities for an Australian Government agency

Intrinsic knowledge of the technical threat environment
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of security equipment and systems
Understanding of technical security and its application to government

Kate Dyce has been involved in ICT capability development and support, project management, and team leadership in Defence and National Security since 2006. She is skilled in PRINCE and Agile methods for complex ICT projects involving infrastructure, data storage, and intelligence analysis. Kate excels in stakeholder engagement, representing to senior leadership, industry, NIC, and overseas partners. As Operations Manager, she coordinates services to clients and ensures service delivery matches requirements, providing support and mentoring to Remote’s consultants.
John Bath - Managing Director
John Bath has extensive experience delivering ICT capabilities within Defence and National Security, including leading ASD’s cloud transformation programs and designing solutions for the National Criminal Intelligence System.
