The Role
Reporting to the Gallery and Museum
Coordinator and based in Windsor NSW, this is an exciting and dynamic position
which leads the delivery and supports the promotion of Hawkesbury Regional
Museum’s exhibition program, contributes to the planning and delivery of
education, public programs and events and manages the Museum collections under
the care of Hawkesbury City Council.
About You
You will have advanced interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, with a
capacity to engage with diverse stakeholders including community members,
artists, academics, Elders, and other professionals. You will demonstrate
professional integrity and a positive, proactive approach to teamwork and
achieving organisational objectives.
Essential
Criteria
* Degree qualification in Australian History, Museum Studies, Heritage Studies, or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience in a curatorial role in a public museum or cultural institution, with a strong understanding of Australian history and community heritage
* Proven ability to research, design and deliver compelling exhibitions and interpretive content for diverse audiences, as well as history focused education programs
* Strong knowledge and practical experience in Collection Management principles, standards and systems
* Demonstrated supervisory experience
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and ethical standards
* The right to live and work in Australia
* Class C Drivers Licence
* WHS General Construction Work in NSW
* Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* Successful applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
