Employment Type: Full Time – 9 day fortnight

Salary: $65,034 + superannuation

We are seeking a motivated Civil Works Serviceperson to join our Works – Civil team. In this role, you will assist in the maintenance and construction of Council's road-related and stormwater assets, including kerb and channel, footpaths, and road maintenance. You'll work as part of a multi-skilled team to deliver high-quality services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake maintenance and construction of road and stormwater assets in line with Council standards.
* Operate and maintain plant and equipment (e.g., excavator, roller, Bobcat, Flocon truck).
* Participate in proactive inspections and record defects.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and Council policies.
* Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a professional image.
What We Are Looking For:
Essential:
* Knowledge and experience in civil construction.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Sound communication skills and commitment to customer service.
* Current unrestricted Tasmanian driver's licence and White Card.
* Willingness to undertake further training and development.
* Ability to use mobile devices and basic computer skills.
* National Police Check.
Desirable:
* Certificate III in Civil Construction.
* Traffic Management qualifications.
* First Aid Certificate.
* Experience operating civil construction plant and machinery.
* Medium or Heavy Rigid licence (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience using online works management systems.
