**Indigenous Office Admin/Reception Officer**

**About the position**:
We are seeking a full-time Indigenous Receptionist and Administrator who will be the first point of contact for all external stakeholders. This is an exceptional front-of-house role that requires the following responsibilities:

- Collecting hard mail from two locations and ensuring it is opened and date-stamped
- Completing external errands such as drop-off/pick-up of company vehicles and equipment collection
- Providing a professional, clean, and welcoming office environment
- Maintaining adequate inventory of office supplies and equipment, including ordering stock, managing inventory registers, and preparing equipment kits for staff members
- Assisting in the planning and preparation of meetings and conferences and taking minutes if and when requested
- Booking travel arrangements such as flights, accommodation, and car hire for management and operational staff
- Generating purchase orders on behalf of project coordinators and managers via the company PSA platform
- Maintaining a register of subscriptions and memberships relating to the Biodiversity Australia business
- Providing general administrative support as required to meet operational requirements

**About you**:
To be successful in this position, you should have:

- A minimum of three years demonstrated experience within a similar fast-paced Reception and/or Administration role
- The ability to communicate confidently and effectively with internal and external clients
- Professional and polite communication skills in person, on the phone, and in written format
- A detail-oriented and highly organised approach with effective prioritisation skills
- Prior experience working with purchase orders would be beneficial but not essential
- A holistic approach to managing and completing tasks
- The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- A positive attitude that contributes to a positive work culture.
